Microsoft to buy Skype for $8.5 billion: As per announcement by Microsoft on Tuesday that it would buy Skype Global for $8.5 billion in cash, in its largest acquisition ever. In its biggest deal ever in cash for $8.5 billion Microsoft Corp agreed to buy Internet phone service Skype for $8.5 billion in cash.
